Drunk Man Breaks Into Neighbor’s Home And Gets Into Bed With Elderly Couple

A man in Michigan surprised an elderly couple when he broke into their Putnam Township home and climbed into bed with them. A drunken Jason Ervin House went to the couple’s home early Sunday morning.

The 27-year-old shocked the homeowners, who left the room to call 911, the Livingston County Daily Press and Argus of Howell reports.

Officers who arrived on the scene found House sound asleep with his shorts partly down.

Investigators said that, when awoken, House said “this isn’t my house.” He then told the officers that he went out drinking after tucking his two children, aged two and four, into bed at his home a few doors down.

House’s two children were found sleeping and placed in the care of neighbors with their father’s consent.

House was booked on suspicious of misdemeanor illegal entry and released after posting a $1,500 bond.

According to local officials, the husband, 75, and his wife, 72, were sleeping in their home on Patterson Lake Road when they heard someone enter the house at around 3:30 am.

The husband claimed that House went into the bedroom and got into bed with him and his wife.

The homeowner took his 9 mm pistol and left the room to get help.

When officers arrived at the home, they tried to rouse House. House did not respond to their commands until they rolled him over and handcuffed him.

The man was lifted off the bed while telling police that he could not go to jail because his children were at home without supervision.

House was given a preliminary breath test, which indicated that his blood-alcohol content was 0.174, or more than twice the legal limit for operating a vehicle.

Police noted that House’s home had dirty dishes in the sink and beer cans and liquor bottles scattered on the counter.
