A 70-year-old Ohio man has taken his 7,000th turn on a roller coaster at the famous Kings Island amusement park.
Officials say Gary Coleman took his historic ride on the Diamondback roller coaster Wednesday during the Fourth of July holiday.
He wore a
T-shirt with the number written across his chest.
Coleman, who says he started riding the Diamondback for fun, has spent
more than 350 hours on it since debuting in 2009. He's accumulated more
than 1,100 rides on the roller coaster this season alone.
Officials say the Diamondback is the tallest and fastest roller coaster
at the park, and Coleman's distance can be measured by someone traveling
across the United States and more than halfway back again.
